Main Sessions

Ho-Ming is the Lead Pastor of Richmond Hill Christian Community Church, a multi-generational, multi-lingual church just outside of Toronto. He completed his undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, and went onto graduate studies at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston. Ho-Ming speaks frequently at conferences in Toronto and has traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa to teach as well. He is an avid guitarist and loves all things sci-fi. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Katie, they have three children.

Ginny Olson abides in Minneapolis, MN where she is the Director of Youth Ministry for the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church as well as a writer, speaker and consultant. Previously, she was one of two directors of the Center for Youth Ministry Studies at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois. She also served on the youth ministry staffs at Willow Creek Community Church and Grace Church, Edina, Minnesota. She is the author of “Teenage Girls,” “Youth Ministry Management Tools,” and co-editor and contributor to “Breaking the Gender Barrier in Youth Ministry.”

Jarin Oda is the Pastor of Youth at Bridgetown Church located in Portland, Oregon. Graduated with a BA in Organizational Leadership from the University of Portland, Jarin has experience pastoring both middle school and youth for 8+ years.

Jason Ballard is the Lead Pastor of The Way Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the Executive Director of the Canadian Church Leaders Network. Jason is also one of the hosts on the Youth Alpha Film Series. Jason and his wife Rachael have three kids–Hudson, Mary and Millie.

From camp speaker to local youth pastor to youth ministry professor, Sid Koop draws from a deep well of experience over a couple ministry decades. He is the Executive Director of Youth Worker Community where he and his team are dedicated to filling in the gaps for youth workers by equipping, empowering, and supporting youth workers to help the next generation know Jesus.
